Natal Reading

Astrological readings are conducted by first casting a horoscope. This is done by using the precise time and location of birth, to ascertain the positions of the planets at the beginning of the individual’s life. For this reason, a reliable, unrounded birth time is crucial—ideally from a birth certificate. Using the techniques of traditional astrology, I then assess the configurations of the planets at the moment of birth to then deliver insight into the key areas of focus within the life, natural strengths and weaknesses, as well as the time those themes will likely unfold.

My practice of astrology finds its roots in the tradition of tropical horoscopic astrology. The techniques I utilize are highly informed by the Hellenistic tradition of natal astrology, but I have studied and actively incorporate the techniques of many medieval astrological authors as well. The techniques I observe include a focus on the seven traditional planets, whole sign houses, essential dignities, traditional sign rulerships, transits, profections, directions, progressions, lots, and more. However, I employ a plethora of more recent ideas and systems into my current practice. e.g. I use the ‘modern’ outer planets such as Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

All astrological readings will be conducted over video call (Zoom). Feel free to have the video camera on or off per your level of comfort. Before the session, upon booking the reading, you will need to send me your birth information and relevant questions upon scheduling your reading. I will then prepare your chart before our meeting. Upon finishing the reading, I will deliver notes in .pdf form to you as well as a recorded copy of the session through digital file transfer.

I am an advocate for personal autonomy and always encourage people to make mindful choices in their own lives. With respect to that, I operate under a personal commitment to informed consent. The practice and art of astrology, while based in empiricism, is not nor can it ever be an 'exact science.'

Astrology is a complex art. It provides a multivalent language that can speak to the many patterns and cycles which occur in the natural world. Although I strive to discover internally consistent patterns and interpret those observations into meaningful delineations for the querent, I cannot guarantee specific results and outcomes nor conclusive answers beyond a shadow of a doubt. I practice and acknowledge an astrology that is not wholly deterministic, and one's will plays a significant role in how many trends in the natal chart will express.

Due to the calculations involved, after a 48-hour period from the initial time of booking, readings may be rescheduled but will no longer be eligible for a refund. Due to the personalized nature of astrological consultations, I do not offer refunds once a session has been completed.
